In the first phase we studied the dynamics of glacial systems. This led to an interest in the processes that control such a system, and the effects the glacier has on the surrounding landscape and its geology and biology.
These processes proved in several cases to be quite separated from the system itself and they also proved to be cyclical in their behaviour. Thus, physical shape can be described as a product of cyclic processes and input conditions. Our device is an attempt to construct an automated mediating mechanism that could create a physical manifestation of virtually any abstracted piece of information as input.

Process: collecting - sorting - redistributing.
Device: reorganisation of material according to input.
Result: dynamic landscape
