Stefa Junestrand - Smart Home Research

This page describes briefly my research activities, cv and academic publications.

My research activities are all related to Smart Homes. Some diferent aspects are of special interest such as architectural design, service development, business models, system integration and usability.

I started my research activities in 1996 at the School of Architecture at KTH. From 1997-1999 I was also responsable for the smart home research in the group "Smart Things", initially at CID (Center for user oriented IT-design) and later at the Interactive Institute.

In 1999 I moved to Spain and founded CASADOMO.com - the leading Spanish spoken Smart Home (Domótica y Hogar Digital) portal and is the companys CEO. In paralell I am a frequent lecturerer at international conferences, events and masters, and I have just (fall of 2004) published a book about Smart Homes in Spanish called "Domótica y Hogar Digital" edited by Thompson Praninfo.
