I will show some of my findings during the fellowship at KTH along with the essay "Insomnia. Viewing Ecologies of Spatial Becoming-With" and would like to discuss feminist practices of "doing history".

The essay is an attempt to place a foot in the door labeled “environment” in order to tell stories of spatial transformations across contested environments in the north of Sweden. I discuss the points of view of both activists and mining companies, and offer a partial, but spatial and situated historiography. That is, I collect histories and narratives of spatial practices that shape the environment and of how the environment reciprocally shapes those practices. My focus is on the spatial ramifications of mining in Sweden in the specific context of two northern towns: Malmberget and Jokkmokk. The aim is to contribute narratives to otherwise unwritten histories, as these stories are seldom told in the conventional history books.
