Inauguration and open house at the new School of Architecture (Oct 12)

OPEN HOUSE
Welcome to the new School of Architecture! During the whole day, the building will be open for visitors. At the entry level a programme of talks and lectures will present different aspects of the school, and on the studio floors (level 3, 4 and 5) you have a chance to meet students and teacher, take a look at ongoing projects or learn more about the pedagogy of the KTH-A. In the small atelier on entry level you can take a minute to rest in the lounge, and in the foyer there will opportunities to get more information about admission, studies and research at the School of Architecture.

GUIDED TOURS
Tours of the buildings starts every full hour. Meet-up by the main entrance, Osquars backe 5. Maximum 40 people per tour, on a first-come-first-served basis. (Starting at 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 & 16)

INAUGURATION CEREMONI
At noon an official inauguration ceremoni of the new KTH School of Architecture and the new KTH Entré takes place in the open space between the buildings, on Osquars backe 5. Peter Gudmundsson, President of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, gives an inauguration speech and Anders Johansson, Head of the KTH School of Architecture, interviews some of the key figures from process of realising the new buildings.

PROGRAMME
From 9 am to 5 pm, a public programme of talks and lectures takes place at entry level. The School of Architecture's educational activities, research, Degree Projects and KTH-A alumni will all be presented. There willa lso be opportunities to learn more about how the new School of Architecture came to be in the first place. The programme is organized in the two main ateliers, and parallell sessions starts every full hour. (A downloadable version of the programme can be found here (pdf 78 kB) .)
