The lecture will present of how privatization of the public space is being underpinned by ideologically produced changes in our perception of the public space itself. This will be demonstrated with the case of the citizen's movement against privatization of public space in Zagreb, Croatia.
Teodor Celakoski is a cultural worker and activist from Zagreb. His work ranges from coordinating cultural programs, networking and cultural advocacy, to institutional innovation and political activism, and is guided by a vision of culture as a form of transformative agency.
Pravo na Grad is an organisation engaged in advocacy and public campaigning against the economic overexploitation of spatial resources, corruption of public governance for the benefit of private interests, and the disenfranchisement of citizens in spatial planning processes in the city of Zagreb and Croatia.
