Unconventional methods to inform sustainable lighting design

Mediating the needs of people and nature in Nordicafter-dark environments.

NorDark exploresand develops strategies for sustainableafter-dark outdoor lighting design.Sustainable urban development requires to balance humanneeds with the needs of nature. Our focus area is the use of electric lightingin after-dark urban green zones, andstrategies to minimizeitsimpact on wildlife. Theproject strives to develop new knowledgeby bringing togetherrelevant disciplines with representatives from design, technology, psychology and ecology.
